Stockport's commanding central defender Ashley Williams is linking himself to a move to either Cardiff City or ... wait for it ... Swansea City(!?!!) ... and possibly joining with either club ... and ... wait for this ... he has no preference (!?!!!) initially on loan as the window closes this Thursday.Williams spoke with media ahead of his likely debut for Wales in Luxembourg tonight. He has been linked with Cardiff City several times with Dave Jones a known admirier who also had the opporunity to watch him first hand during City's 6-4 loss to Stockport in a pre-season friendly.
The player will be 24 as next season starts and has played all his football at Stockport whom he joined as a trainee, he has 162 league appearances to his name so far.
We await to see if anything develops.
