CRYSTAL PALACE vs CARDIFF CITY TONIGHT - WHAT A CONTRAST TO LAST SEASON

Last season, one of our most anticipated aways, we took a huge following to London confident City would do the business and they certainly did.

A cracker from Michael Chopra in the opening 2 minutes and a late winner from Riccy Scimeca.

I honestly believed we were on our way to the Premiership that day and well recall hitting the centre of London in celebration, on the tube cronning, "we're singing on the train" and getting everyone to do the ayatollah with us in various West End bars.

I defy anyone there that day to tell me they didn't feel the same.

And now tonight, we're probably taking our lowest ever support to Selhurst (where traditionally, we still take a good number even during midweek nights) with no confidence and a considerable dose amount of apathy.

Who'd have thought that back then?
