CHAMPIONSHIP: CRYSTAL PALACE 0 CARDIFF CITY 0

CHAMPIONSHIP: CRYSTAL PALACE 0 CARDIFF CITY 0

A much improved improved performance - but only the standards we should expect - gaiend Cardiff City a comfortable point in an overall dull affair at Selhust Park.

It put a temporary stop to the recent rut but now leaves the Bluebirds 10 points adrift of the play-offs but 9 points ahead of the relegation berths - in other words, perfect mid-table obscurity.

It should, perhaps, have been all three points in a contest where Dave Joens made 4 changes but Cardiff, as is often the way, failed to convert a number of excellent and half-chances while, at the back, they faced very few scares.

The closest City came was Aaron Ramsey hitting a post and Roger Johnson producing a superb save from Eagles keeper Speroni but they were many better chances where City failed to hit the target at all. It is a concern that City are now 4 league games and almost 7 hours without a Championship goal.

All eyes will now turn to Sunday's F.A. Cup quarter-final, more so as the Championship, with 2 months to go, seems to be little more than passing interest sadly.
