At 22, Ruddy, a goalkeeper, was signed by Premiership side Everton in 2005 from Cambridge United for £250,000 but, to date, has only had 1 substitute appearence for the Merseysiders over two years ago when he played 80 minutes in the Premiership after The Toffees main keeper, Ian Turner, was sent off. At 6' 4", he certainly fills Dave Jones' known criteria for tall goalkeepers so there may be something in this rumour which strongly suggests Cardiff have already made an approach. Some Bluebirds followers will ponder if this has cropped up in conversation of a result of Everton apparently top of the list to take Joe Ledley away from City this summer even if that rumour has been denied ... ... sort of!
