PULIS DISAPPOINTED NOT TO GET LEDLEY

Tony Pulis, talking to the Stoke Sentinel newspaper, expressed his frustration at bing unable to get Joe Ledley from Cardiff City - his key target in the transfer window - despite trying to make Joe the SIX MILLION POUND MAN, a figure that would have been a club record for a Stoke purchase and Cardiff sale.

Talking about Ridsdale's refusal to let 21 year old Joe go at this time, Pulis said, "I am disappointed because I think Joe is a very good player, but we have to respect Cardiff. He is their player and maybe it was never going to happen."
