THE AFTERMATH OF THE TRANSFER WINDOW "DRAMA"

So it's now firmly shut and the dust is settling and what have Cardiff City achieved?

1. Sold Glenn Loovens for somewhere between £2.5M to £3M, have Ridders pledge to spend the money on replacements and we get Gabor Gypes for £200,000.

2. Sold Thommo for a small undisclosed (why?) fee to get Eddie Johnson on loan with Fulham paying the bulk of his wages.

3 Fail to get cover for the injured Gavin Rae and Riccy Scimeca while injured and now have to try again with the loan window opens in a week or so.

4. Sell players for the combined value of £10.5M in 2008 (plus the extra millions from the F.A. Cup run and record season ticket sales) and spend just £625k on replacements with the aim of a Premiership drive.

It really doesn't look good where the basic facts are laid bare.
