The Cardiff City Supporters Trust formation group held a video press conference at Ninian Park yesterday and the official website were there to record it. The main even however is the launch of Cardiff City Supporters Trust this Thursday (September 4th, 2008). The key business is to get the Trust going - and the antics of this summer and the transfer window show why it's needed but there are many other key reasons too including working with the club, hopefully getting representation at Board level one day.

There are other events with former Cardiff City stars Andy Legg, Phil 'Joe' Dwyer and Jason Perry taking part in a Question Time-style session along with former Premiership referee Keith Cooper.

Also present and taking part are Actor/TV presenter Jonathan Owen (who will also present his film on what it means to be a Cardiff City supporter), Wales Online Cardiff City football reporter Steve Tucker with BBC Wales sports presenter and journalist Rob Phillips keeping order as chair. The key business will be forming the Trust and representatives from Supporters Direct, the government backed group which provided practical support to help establish the Trust will be there to do exactly that. The Football Association has also agreed that the FA Cup will be at the event. Supporters will able to take photographs alongside the famous trophy between 6pm and 7pm. There may also be other opportunities during the evening to take photographs.

City supporters will learn more about the Trust on the night and be able to sign up as members. Full details of rates and benefits will be available on the night but rates start at £12 a year for an individual and £24 a year for family membership which includes up to two adults and unlimited children under 16.
Admission to the event is free and the venue has a fully licensed bar and extensive car parking available.
