PAUL PARRY QUITS INTERNATIONAL FOOTBALL FOR WALES

CARDIFF CITY WIDE MAN COME STRIKER PAUL PARRY HAS ROCKED WELSH FOOTBALL BY WITHDRAWING FROM THE SQUAD TO PLAY IN RUSSIA ON WEDNESDAY AND DECLARING HIS RETIREMENT FROM INTERNATIONAL FOOTBALL.

This amazing development was confirmed by the FAW this morning (http://www.faw.org.uk/news/1131)

Parry had only just returned from a self imposed exile which he officially put down last month to divorce and children problems from his previous relationship but confirmed all of this was now behind and he declared his future availablity for Wales.

So why the about turn??? And what do you feel about players who do this??? Why did he put himself through all of that to get back for Wales, talk about his personal problems etc only to back out again?

There's obviously more to the story than we'll find out (officially anyway) but, got to say, I was very surprised that Toshack ignored him last Saturday while gving the kids their chance.

I cannot condone it but I can imagine Parry thinking if he can't get on the pitch for Wales when they're missing so many players and they can't look to bring him off the bench in a game where they're struggling, what's the point in him being there? I'd be shocked if that thoguht didn;'t enter his mind.

Hopefully Wales loss and City's gain but I hate things like this happening with my country. Parry has let himself down and his country down, it leaves a bitter taste.

**UPDATE**UPDATE**UPDATE**
An anonymous source has said, "Tosh told him he would be starting the game in Moscow, he apparently said it was too late (he felt he should have played on Saturday) and walked out of the team hotel." which, if true, confirms my suspicions as posted above. Not that it makes it right though Mr Parry!!
