To Dave Jones - defending our player is one thing and I agreed with some of your remarks but defending the indefensible with your additional ill-thought unnecessary comments was always going to bring this on. There's no point.
Jones ain't happy about this
Why is this club continually shooting itself in the foot, making its p.r. so awful and lacking the mental capacity to think before they speak sometimes?
Had he played it with a straight bat, concentrated on City only, everyone could have concentrated on the game only but he gave everyone more ammo.
Parry was an idiot in his behaviour this week - stop making excuses for him - but the club needlessly getting involved in the way they did (that ridiculous ill-timed statement followed by Jones' remarks) only compounded it and allowed the story to keep running.
Problem is, they never learn their lessons.
