TRIALLIST WILSON LEAVES CITY - IT WASN'T JUST "ORUMA"

Less than 48 hours ago, Nigerian international Wilson Oruma scored with a spectacular effort in a friendly at Chaseetown, fans didn't even know who he was until it was announced after the game.
24 Hours Ago, Manager Dave Jones was quoted in the Soth Wales Echo, "The kid can play. He has a silky touch on the ball – and just look at the goal he scored ... He’s been African player of the year twice and it was clear he has genuine quality but he needs to get fit".
Then he added these extra words which sound so hollow now, "We will give him time and the chance to show what he can do. He has ability, no doubt about that, and you don’t throw away the chance to work with a player like Wilson unless you are sure. I saw things he did during the first half in particular which showed me how good he can be. And his goal underlined that".
Fast forward to today and Wilson Oruma, a player so highly spoken about by Dave Jones yesterday with a promise that he will be given time, has been released!
Before thinking the world has gone mad, it appears Oruma forced City's hand. The Nigerian claims to have an offer from a foreign club and as Dave Jones says in the below link, the player wouldn't be fit for a while for City to judge whether to offer him a contract now.
So, two days before the season starts, and Dave Jones is still searching for a midfielder and an even more elusive goalscoring striker.
