CITY HOME TO MK DONS IN THE CARLING CUP

CARDIFF CITY fans have thoughts of another Cup run or a big game as, helped by seeding, they were drawn at home to League One's MK Dons in Carling Cup Round Two after their success in Bournemouth on Tuesday.

Having reached the Carling Cup last 16 last season - and exiting in a close game at Liverpool's Anfield - the chance of progress is there but it won't be easy.
(Di Matteo: WAHEY - I'M GOING TO KAIRDIFF!!)
MK Dons are, perhaps, the most unloved side in the league. Fans dub them Franchaise FC as they were created from the demise of Wimbledon but, politics aside, they're a team to be respected having been promoted as League Two champions, winning it with a huge 97 points and they caused a Round 1 upset seeing off Norwich City 1-0 at their new Stadium MK ground last night.
Their boss is former Chelsea and Italy star Roberto di Matteo but when they arrive at Ninian Park, you can bet more attention will be paid to former Swansea goalkeeper Willie Guerret who is now between their sticks.
