LOOVENS THANKS CITY FANS WHILE STRACHAN OFFERS TO SHOW HIM THE SUB'S BENCH

In today's Western Mial, two contrasting stories on the merits of a big transfer. While Glenn Loovens thanks Cardiff City fans for their support of him and his time with the club while looking forward to the Champions League, Celtic boss Gordon Strachan - in his usual narky, biting way - tells the player not to expect to be starting for the Glasgow side any time soon.

With a 4 years contract under his arm, I am sure Glenn will soon show his value and turn that around. Still gutted to see him gone but good luck Glenn.
