Dave Jones is an admirer of Swansea's attacking midfielder and came within a whisker of signing him 2 season ago until he got 'cold feet' and decided to stay with The Swans penning a new 2 year deal. His temptation to join Cardiff, Robinson stated at the time, was to play Championship football.
Step forward two years and a similar scenario was being played out and there were whispers that Cardiff were sniffing again although with Swansea promoted to the Championship, Robbo indicated he wanted to stay there just a fortnight ago.
Today, came shock news that he has switched to Leeds United who play their League One play-off final this weekend and may not make the Championship. Full of loyalty, Robinson asked to wait until the play-off was decided but Swansea rightly forced his hand by withdrawing their contract offer unless he signed this week. The man is a hero to Swans fans - I suspect their respect for him is no more.
