FRIENDLY INTERNATIONAL: Iceland 0 WALES 1

John Toshack's and Wales' impressive sequence of results continued with Tosh's most experimental and youngest side yet producing a 1-0 victory in Rekjavik against Iceland in their latest friendly.

The match was unremarkable, the match-winner was remarkable as Ched Evans, the precocious striking talent who scored the best goal at Ninian Park last season (sadly against City and for Norwich!), back-heeled an outstanding winner on the stroke of half-time meeting a Joe Ledley cross with a back heeled shot in the corner.

Evans replaced Cral Fletcher shortly before that goal as the Captain for the night was stretchered off with ankle ligament damage. Having been discarded by Crystal Palace last week and now looking for a new club, that will be asetbak in more ways than one.

For those of the Bluebirds faith, Joe Ledley got 50 minutes while ex-City men Chris Gunter and Jason Koumas played thoughoout but hot propect Aaron Ramsey was not even on the bench.

Next up for the boys is a far more demanding test in Rotterdam against Holland this weekend.
