MANCHESTER UNITED KEEPER ON WAY TO NINIAN PARK?

WILL HE PUT THE "HEAT-ON" ENKLEMAN?

The name has done the rounds for a couple of weeks but today's Western Mail have provided the broadest hints yet that Manchester United's # 3 goalkeeper, Tom Heaton, is heading to Cardiff City on a season's loan.

City fans will be wondering if this is good news before bad news as all links with Man United and their players on loan have been linked to Aaron Ramsey heading in the opposite direction. It's been whispered quietly and stated in the media that 2 Manchester United players would join City on loan if we sell them Ramsey and Heaton was the one name mentioned.

The keeper is rated as a hot prospect but is 22 and, so far, had very little first team experience so it is time he moved on or was 'farmed out' for that.

His only first team games in the UK was half a season with Swindon Town at the start of 2005/2006. Swindon were dreadful and got relegated so it's probably no great reflection on Heaton that he kept 1 clean sheet in 19 games and conceded 36.
