Arsenal have the Grange, City have the rest

After prematurely telling City fans how buying a ticket for the Derby game this weekend should see non-Ambassadors ok for an Arsenal ticket, Peter Ridsdale should be feeling red-faced after Arsenal decided to take their full 4,280 entitlement which on a guaranteed sale basis.

City had been hoping they would want 2,000 only so they could use the usual away section but the Gunners attract massive support so it seemed misguided. The North Londoners will now have the entire Grange End, Grange Enders will have to be redeployed on the Bob Bank and there are likely to be only 800 tickets available to City fans once season ticket holders claim theirs.

Many City followers are furious but the situation with the Grange End was always known and why do non-season ticket holders think they should be catered for when these big games arrive? At least it's live on telly!
