In ancient football joke style, Tony Capaldi has been living up to his position at Cardiff City ... left back ... as in left back in the changing room.
After a hugely unconvincing start to Ninian Park life, TC's steady'n'solid displays won round City fans in the 2nd half of 2007/08 as he became a pivotal member of the side which
progressed to the F.A. Cup Final at Wembley.However injured pre-season and then again in his only outing, Capaldi has managed just 10 minutes of first team football this season and finds himself stuck firmly on a substitute's bench while Mark Kennedy has taken on his mantle.
Desparate for games, he has asked Dave Jones to go out on loan but his request was denied as Cardiff do not carry a full squad and they can't afford to leave themselves short. All of this leaves TC in an unenviable situation waiting for a chance but, like Darren Purse, in the sure knowledge that he'll only get it if others are injured or suspended.
