CARDIFF’s FIRST PRE-SEASON CONFIRMED (kind of)

With talk of a lucrative pre-season in Saudi or similar after the F.A. Cup appearance has raised City’s profile, the first announced friendly has been announced as … wait for it … Merthyr Tydfil away. Date to be confirmed.

It’s almost a regular fixture, City appeared there pre-season last July, and popular with fans as it’s often the first chance to glimpse some new signings, laugh at some of the summer haircuts, catch up with each other and enjoy the trappings of Strikers Bar and the chip shop inside the ground.
