A fairly decent article on a huge City awayday when Pompey and Cardiff were both fighting for promotion with an infamous match at Fratton Park.
A couple of inaccuracies about the story - we actually took 5,000 fans to Portsmouth, it was one fan only who broke the clock and was swinging on the big hand and it moits to mention that the game was on Match of the Day but was such a dull 0-0 but MotD only bothered showing a couple of minutes of the game yet in the only significant moment of the encounter, Eric Steele - then on-loan to City - produced one of the best saves I've ever seen which won Save on the Season on MotD that year.
What is scary is realising that all happened just over 25 years ago - it's still quite vivd to me - **** me!
City fans had great time at Pompey
