While there was plenty of hype about the massive tv global audience - and it was still huge - Cardiff City v Portsmouth was never going to get the same viewers as if one or two or the big four had featured.
Confirmation comes in this article but it's worth remembering there's now many different ways to watch the final and Sky covered the game as well as BBC.
As if we should be disappointed by only 5 million watching Cardiff City on BBC !!!
