CCFC messageboards are packed with rhetoric and ill feeling by Dave Jones' latest claims to the media that Ninian Park would be an embarrassment if Cardiff City made the Premiership and he is not interested in going up to "do a Derby" only to come straight back down.
It is tantamount to an admission that he doesn't want promotion this season and, naturally, fans don't want to hear claims like that and believe Dave Jones should keep these opinions to himself or be positive about us in public.
P.R. at our club is as poor as it ever has been but, in context, I can see the validity in DJ's remarks and don't think they are as severe as some believe although I'm sure Cardiff City fans and Chairman can see the benefit in going up this season even if we come straight back.
It doesn't seem to have done West Brom and Watford any harm and made them a hell of a lot richer int he process too. Next season, of course, Derby will also enjoy a £30M parachute payment advnatage over us, tell them 1 season in the Premiership won't have been worthwhile!
