It had been rumoured for a couple of days but London Press this morning provided some confirmation that Cardiff City had made an enquiry, but not a firm bid, to take their talisman 28 yr old striker Tommy Smith for £1.6M.
Smith started his career at Vicarge Road but moved around to Sundland and Derby before returning for £500,000 in 2006.
He is a 1 goal in 4 game striker but having, perhaps, his best season in the game with 12 Championship goals this term.
I find it hard to believe City have that money to spend so maybe it was an enquiry as City had a hit list of players if, maybe, Joe Ledley was sold.
Watford boss Rodgers says Cardiff enquiry was first for Tommy Smith
