Cardiff City issued a club statement just a couple of hours before the Moscow kick-off (wonderful timing) on the Paul Parry walk out from the Welsh squad by saying he (that's Parry) loves Wales and Welsh football and is disappointed at the reaction in some quarters.

He’s obviously got a problem with Toshack but it’s no excuse to abandon his country, especially in the uncaring manner that he did. I love him as a Cardiff City footballer, always will, but I’ve lost all respect for him as a person and a Welshman.
