After all the promises of a summer spending spree, followed by promises that all of Glen Loovens transfer money would be made available to Dave Jones and then the club being determined to bring in a Premiership loan signing during the fortnight international break, today's Echo now offers these thoughts by Dave Jones.
"Gavin Rae is back in full training and that saves me splashing out now on a loan signing. We can look around and see whether there is anybody we can pick up during the full January transfer window and take them permanently rather than on loan."
"I have asked about a number of potential loan signings, but the first question I am asked by the other clubs is ‘how long will Riccy and Gavin be out for?’ You can’t lie and now that Gavin is ready to play clubs aren’t keen to let their players join us on loan."
Are our club taking the pee? How many more excuses are they going to serve up?
I'd laugh if I wasn't so angry.
