The tournament, the first of its kind since the Home Internationals were disbanded in 1984, which will in Dublin in 2001 with further games to be played in May of the same year - a mini league with all games tkaing place at ther Aviva Stadium, currently still being built.

If successful, the tounament will then alternate around the nations involved but no decision has yet been made on whether it could be an annual event or less frequent.

David Collins, FAW secretary confirmed his delight that, "We have finally reached agreement on the tournament taking place in Dublin in 2011. After many months of work we are delighted that this has now come about. We look forward to a great tournament especially in the new stadium in Dublin and we trust it will be a huge success which will enable us to extend in future years."
