With the clocks going forward and lighter nights returning, Cardiff had courted publicity and trailblazed itself as one of the leading … ahem … lights in showing Green Solidarity.
The intention was simple – switch off as many lights a possible for 1 hour.
The reality was very different according to this blogger and his photos. Street lights on, many buildings didn’t bother and those that did, like Millennium Stadium, left half its lights on anyway.
Has there been a more ineffective piece of symbolism??
