Ipswich Town failed today to overturn the red card shown to Alex Bruce during Wednesday's 3-1 win over Bristol City meaning he begins an immediate 4 game ban - it was his 2nd red card this season - starting tomorrow against Cardiff City.
Bruce claimed innocence and his club provided video evidence but the F.A. disciplinary panel upheld the original decision. Followers of the Tractor Boys are now wondering if they've seen the last of the player as bigger clubs are expressing interest, he hasn't signed a new contract and the transfer window opens in less than 3 weeks.
