Weekend and Monday night Premiership results have virtually handed the title to the Old Trafford side leaving them them a 5 point gap over only remaining contender, Chelsea, with 4 games remaining and with a vastly superior goal difference to boot. One of those games is versus Chelsea but it is now United's title to lose.
This does pave the way for the unbelievable prospect of Cardiff City v Manchester United as the Charity Shield season's cutain raiser at Ninian Park - much more edifying than City v Sporting Nobody wouldn't you say?
We can dream but, as we already know, dreams have come true for Bluebirds this season.
