MELTDOWN! CARDIFF CITY COULD GO UNDER THIS WEEK!!!!

Yes it's your good old News of the Screws getting extremely sensationalist about the state of affairs leading upto what is admittedly a fraught week for the club with a D-Day Court Case looming but the story appears extremly contrived, a half-baked attempt to make Sam Hammam think twice and well, bog standard trashy News of the World reporting.

For what it's worth, here's their story today but I guess we can expect more of the same over the next week or so. What a turn off it all is.

Cardiff City have called an emergency board meeting for Tuesday - and the club could be in administration by the end of the week.

The £35million court case against City has mushroomed into a crisis which is likely to force the club out of business unless a settlement can be reached before the hearing tomorrow week.

Ninian Park chairman Peter Ridsdale said last night ''I can confirm that the board will be meeting this week ahead of the scheduled court case''

Lawyers will be at tuesday's meeting to advise the club on their handling of a situation which is deteriorating rapidly.City are facing mounting losses as former chairman Sam Hammam presses on with his case against the club.Banks will not lend money will the court case threathening closure, and City's legal costs have already soared up to the £500,000 mark.

There is mounting fury at Hammam within the club and among supporters. They are certain he is behind mystery firm Langston, who are suing the club for immediate repayment of loan notes.City admit they owe the money, but insist repayment is not due until 2016.

The club are also ready to repay the money within two or three years , but Hammam has not responded to their call for talks. One worried fan said ''Sam started all this he took out the loan notes in the first place. He borrowed that money and now he can decide whether we have a future.''
