They could do a John Darwin (whose wife has just confessed she knew he was alive all the time).
Both disappear and leave us alone, maybe sort out their egos and differences, we can enjoy life without either of them, the insurance pay offs should clear our debts and when they turn up again, they get put away for fraud. Bliss.
