CARDIFF CITY - ANOTHER DAY, ANOTHER DRAMA

I can't really decide whether it's a soap opera, a tragedy, a panto or pure circus anymore. All I do now is that's is anything but football. This is a tale of greed, money, property, stadium, egos and scores to be settled between men with very little love for Cardiff City Football Club.

Today's bombshell is that Langston/Hammam (joined at the hip if you ask me) have asked for the court hearing scheduled for next Monday to be rescheduled for January 19th at the earliest. They are apparently citing that Cardiff Cit's responses to their claim needs them to take time out to review it and it wasn't possible to do that before next week. The club say they have reluctantly agreed to Langston's request.

The confusion is why they've done this and what is could mean to the club especially when Peter Ridsdale is on record claiming a delay would be more damaging than anything.

Steve Borley believes it is partly as Cardiff's response is so strong that Hammam and co are worried. Others think it is brinkmanship to force Ridsdale and the club to act favourably now towards Langston or risk oblivion.

The jury is out on whether this means. Administration does seem closer than ever yet some think Ridsdale not mentioning that at all today is a positive sign and maybe increased confidence from within the club. However if finances are tight and a transfer window about to open, it would appear impossible for City to change or improve their struggling squad and probably has a significant increase in the likelihood that a Joe Ledley or Chris Gunter will need to be sold. Worse than that, it means we'll probably have to persevere even longer with Dave Jones!!

There will obviously be more coming out over the coming days and more twists and turns but the BBC story about events.
