Get Off McPhail's Back, says Joe. He's struggling to pass forward and use both feet as it is (he didn't say!)

Joe Ledley, himself under-performing and the subject of supporter comment until a recent goalscoring upsurge, has urged Cardiff City fans to lay off any more criticism of left-footed midfield "playmaker" Steve McPhail.

I'm all for players speaking out in public and standing up for each other but Joe, as a City fan himself with many mates on the Bob Bank, will also recognise deep down why fans were frustrated and needed to vent their spleens.

To say McPhail has been disappointing this season would be as big an understatement as saying Nicole's tits on I'm A Celebrity are a bit big. For him to cost a ludicrous red card in a battle against local rivals which also saw him criticsed by his own manager means fans are going to get it off their chests and even ponder over exactly what McPhail offers the team these days ... which this season, Paul Daniels-like, has been not a lot.

It's time to look forward but Joe knows rthe only way to overcome criticism is by letting your football do the talking. That's what he's done recently and it's high time McPhail did the same.
