Legendary rockers Pearl Jam unveiled a World Premier of the first single from their latest album on American tv on Monday night ... and if chunks of it aren't ripped from a DEVO tune, then I'm a Chinaman.
GOT SOME is the tune but you don't need to listen that hard to hear the tones of DEVO's 1977 classic Gut Feeling.
The biggest giveaway is surely its chorus which is not only musically an exact copy of the hook from Gut Feeling but, lyrically, Pearl Jam's chorus line of Got Some If You Need It is very close to DEVO's I've Got a Gut Feeling as well.
PJ lead singer Eddie Veder is a known DEVO fabn so good on him even if he perhaps won't admit to the linkage between the tunes.
Listen and judge them for yourselves.
