Cardiff City and Cov in Poundland bidding war sensation

Tonight's Coventry Evening Telegraph claim they are battling it out with us over Norwich man Sammy Clingan.

However they reckon Cov are about to swoop with a mighty bid of ... £1!

Can Ridders, with all his problems, top it with another 50p???? Probably not if he's got to pay tax on top. :>)

Coventry City want Norwich City's FC Sammy Clingan

COVENTRY CITY are weighing up a £1 swoop for Norwich City's Sammy Clingan, according to reports.

Chris Coleman will offer the defensive midfielder a £1m escape route to stay in the Championship - and is weighing up an early summer move for the Northern Ireland international.

The Mirror reports that the 25-year-old will quit the Canaries following their relegation to League One.

Cardiff City will battle it out for Clingan, who is a set-piece specialist.
