Spanish Armada heads for the new Cardiff City Stadium

VALENCIA, former European finalists, have announced what has been the world's worst kept secret ... they will be visiting Cardiff City's new stadium.

The news has circulated for a couple of months but is now confirmed to be played Saturday August 1st - a few days after the stadium is officially opened with a game versus Celtic.

The Spaniards boast a few famous names in the shape of Joaquin, David Villa and David Silva. It sounds glitzy, it is glitzy but Cardiff have played a leading European side most summers in Cardiff recently and the games have always proved to be unremarkable never living up to the hype.
