Johnson and Ledley get PFA Gongs

Two of Cardiff City's best performers all season long - ROGER JOHNSON and JOE LEDLEY - have been recognised by their fellow players by being named in the Championship side of the season at the PFA Awards.

The select side also featured 2 Swansea men in Jordi Gomez and Jason Scotland.

Other City men who must have been close to recognition were defender Kevin McNaughton and forwards Jay Bothroyd and Ross McCormack.

Let's hope it's not the final award Johnson and Ledley get this season as City failing to enter or win the play-offs will surely see them leave the club this summer to make the Premiership leaving The Bluebirds behind.

Roger Johnson and Joe Ledley were named in the PFA Championship team of the season.

As you'd expect Champions Wolves provided most players with three. Cardiff, Coventry and Swansea provided two each with Sheffield Utd and Reading having a player each in the line up.

The PFA Championship side were:

Keiren Westwood (Coventry)

Kyle Naughton (Sheff Utd)

Roger Johnson (Cardiff)

Richard Stearman (Wolves)

Daniel Fox (Coventry)

Michael Kightly (Wolves)

Stephen Hunt (Reading)

Joe Ledley (Cardiff)

Jordi Gomez (Swansea, on loan from RCD Espanyol)

Sylvan Ebanks-Blake (Wolves)

Jason Scotland (Swansea)

Joe one one of two Fairwater men honoured on the night as the main award - The PFA Player of the year Award went to Manchester United and Wales' Ryan Giggs
