AKRON's World of Rubber - used as the backdrop for DEVO's famous The Truth about De-Evolution and Jocko Homo movie - is to close next week in Akon, Ohio.
''Well, there you go,'' said Devo bassist Jerry Casale, when told of the museum's closing. ''This is total proof of de-evolution. What's the world come to when no one cares about rubber?''
The video of Jocko Homo is embargoed from YouTube at present although countless live performances exist. In difference to the charged version, I like this chilled out offering from 1988 followed by their truly devolved version of Satisfaction.
