Centre-half Mark Hudson was today announced as the Cardiff City skipper for the forthcoming season. Dave Jones broke the news top him today and he will get the honour of leading out the Bluebirds as City kick-off the Championship campaign with their first competitive fixture in the new srtadium against visitors Scunthorpe United.

"This is a fantastic honour for a new boy like me to be made skipper" said the 27 year old signed last month for a reported £1.075M.
Joe Ledley was skipper at the end of last season and had the armband in last weekend's final dress rehearsal against Sevilla but with his future at the club remaining very uncertain, Hudson got the nod.
Hudson was Captain at Charlton Athletic last season. They got relegated. GULP!
