After rising speculation following Portsmouth feeling encouraged after an initial Ross McCormack yesterday, it appears to be over after new Pompey boss Paul Hart decided against making any move.
News has emerged that Ross was a third or fourth choice for the club and they are close to succeeding in their other choices - an Egyptian Premiership player and Croatian forward Nikola Kalinic - so their interest in McCormack has subsided no sooner than it arose.
