With the new athletics stadium tracks and facilities built and stands now being built, today finally saw work begin on demolition and conversion of the current athletics stadium into Cardiff City's new ground.
The work underway at Leckwith has been immense in recent months but few can get excited about road widening, retail parks and hard hats, this has been the moment that means most to City fans.
A shame therefore that such a monumental occasions that we've waited years to see was so low profile with just Peter Ridsdale and the council leader present, no fans were involved at all. Not the best p.r. by PR.
