Another day with plenty of Bellamy talk but no firm Bellamy news

Well the much touted press conference never happened this morning, Cardiff City boss Dave Jones commented that he hadn't even spoken with Manchester City and Sky were reporting a possibility that the player may even return to Manchester City so for the second day running, hopeful Bluebird followers were down.

Then, just like groundhog day, local media broke news that the deal was on. Yesterday it was Wales Online and the South Wales Echo, tonight it is the turn of the truly bland local station (Un)Real Radio.

They claim Cardiff and Manchester City have thrashed out a half season loan deal, with The Mancs having an option to recall but the possibility that he could spend all season at Cardiff. Bellers' reputed £98k weekly wage is out of any other club's reach but suggestions are Cardiff will pay upto £40k with rumours Bellers will forgo a third of it and hints local businessmen may be contributing too and Bellamy will skipper the side against Doncaster this weekend. This from a club were have major money woes and who only saw off a winding up order in the courts last week! There again, when has life ever been normal, straightfdorward or predictable with this soap opera of a club.

If you believe these stories, a contract could be signed tomorrow. What's the odds we'll have to tlerate another day of gossip?

My head's spinning but Cardiff are showing ambition. Bellamy or no Bellamy, all of a sudden we look stronger and ambitious, it's pleasing to see.
