Hooliganism at Cardiff City almost 50 years ago

He'd get an ASBO and a banning order for this today. :>) This was in 1960.

A man threw a litter bin over the wall of Cardiff City football ground at Ninian Park and asked a police officer “When are they going to win?”

This is what was alleged at Cardiff Magistrates Court as the man, from Bute Street, Cardiff, was remanded in custody for a week for a medical examination.

The man was described in court as “a disgruntled Cardiff City football fan.”

The magistrates were told that after throwing the litter-bin – which damaged a glass door – the man turned to the police officer and said “you win.”

Pleading guilty to using obscene language and damaging the door he said he could not remember what happened.

The police constable said that the man had stopped some cars and used filthy language to the drivers.
