CARDIFF CITY'S STRIKING PROBLEMS

And they're off ... Dave Jones, knowing he's without both main strikers for 3 to 8 weeks, is in a race against time to land loan signings with at least one needed before the weekend trip to QPR.

With Premiership clubs now able to field 18 man squads including 7 substitutes, the choices are more scarce than previously and the loan costs seem to be raised so they're linked with a number of out of favour or 'never heard of'em' types from various clubs.

The current runners and riders are featured here. From the list mentioned, Darius Vassell sounds a reasonable shout but maybe these kids are young and hungry.
