You know you're old when something happened 40 years ago and you have vivid memories of it!
However it was 40 years ago today that Charles was crowned Prince of Wales in a ceremony broadcast worldwide ... and still he waits to take over as King.
Like many in the modern world, I am now apathetic towards the Royal Family. However, at the time, this was a truly massive event which remains with me even though I had just started junior school.
