CHOPRA CONFIRMED AS BLACK CAT

"Ello, Ello, Cardiff Reject, Cardiff Reject"

Today is the day that Michael Chopra became Cardiff City's biggest ever sale as Roy Keane's Sunderland got his signature to contract on a 4 year deal that more than doubles Chops' pay to over £20k a week plus bonses.

Chopra's set up for life on that deal but City came out of it handsomely too with the £5M fee and all bar £500k of that paid up front. Great business but it'll only be great overall for the club if it's invested in the team by Dave Jones and he brings quality replacements and additions.

City still lack a major replacement for Neil Alexander, desparately require more striking options and probably one or two more for overall squad strength.

Peter Ridsdale is on record this summer confirming all funds are in place for the new stadium and the club are no longer in the red so why does everybody, myself included, believe we'll never see a significant portion of Chopra's fee put back into the team?

Nevertheless, new faces are inevitable are the names are pouring out. Robbie Fowler is about to enter more talks and other names in despatches include Emile Heskey, DJ Campbell, Scott Sinclair, Neil Kilkeeny and more besides.

Tomorrow, it's back to football as City take on Vitoria de Setubal at the crazy time of 10am, Early one tonight then boys!
