Setback for Setubal!
Cardiff City completed their Portuguese pre-season mini tour with two wins out of two after a 1-0 over leading, but recently struggling, local side Vitoria de Setubal in Lisbon.
By all accounts, it was a competent and thoroughly good workout for City who looked the better side, the fitter side too and placed some great football in parts. The goal was a first for new by Steve McClean.
The boys now fly home with plenty more training and friendly games before their first Ninian Park action in 3 weeks against Dutch side, FC Twente, before business really starts as the Championship kick-off home to Stoke 4 weeks today.
Not much other news to report, just transfer speculation and that's just getting to boring to list the latest rumours and links. The only certainty remains that Robbie Fowler enters more talks with The Bluebirds after the weekend as Cardiff now appear favourites to land his signature on a 1 year deal.
