100 YEARS OLD TODAY ... (well it would have been if still here) ... NINIAN PARK.

My Place of Worship

It is 100 Years Ago Today that Cardiff City opened Ninian Park. The occasion, an exhibition game against Aston Villa, saw City beaten 2-1.

However the place went on to have many more famous days, nights and events and will never be forgotten by all those who were visited - whether a home or away fan.

... he's in Ninian Heaven

It is a pity the ground made way on its 99th birthday for the new Cardiff City Stadium and Ninian Park has all bar disappeared today with new houses and only some signs of old stadium rubble but that's the price of progress.

Happy Birthday Ninian Park ... thanks for the memories.
