Scimeca is not a Wanna-BEE

It's been confirmed this evening that Cardiff City midfielder Riccy Scimeca has declined a 4 month loan deal with League One Brentford.

Scimeca has been plauged by injuries for a couple of years and that includes more problems already this season. Riccy has managed just 2 league appearences totalling 5 minutes in the past year and had a brief appearence as sub in last midweek's Carling Cup win over Bristol Rovers.

It's a fairly safe bet that he won't appear in the Championship for Cardiff any time soon as he's fallen further down the pecking order so a loan deal seems good for player and club especially given City have no reserve side and rely on very occasional informal friendlies for squad players.

However Riccy has chosen to stay and I hope it turns out to be wise.

Was Charlton Postponed Prematurely??

I'm really peed off today's scheduled Charlton Athletic vs Cardiff City game was postponed more than 24 hours before kick-off and am wondering if it was playable this afternoon?

No game fell foul of the overnight weather, temperatures were 5 to 7 degrees this afternoon, there was no travel problems. Games were played in the London area including Brentford FFS.

As a Prem club until 2 yrs ago, surely Charlton have undersoil heating anyway?

I'd love to have seen what The Valley pitch was like at 3pm today. I got a funny feeling it was neither icy or flooded as it was yesterday morning!
