THREE CARDIFF PLAYERS IN CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM OF THE WEEK
Each week, the Official Football League website brings you the Team of the Week. Produced by the Press Association, the Team of the Week features the eleven top performing players from each division from this weekend's matches.
This week, the Coca-Cola Championship Team of the Week features three Cardiff City players – Adam Matthews, Peter Whittingham and Michael Chopra. The Bluebirds secured a 4-0 win away at Watford, and Adam Matthews was key to the clean sheet, and he also scored his first ever senior goal. Two other Cardiff players also made the team of the week and not for the first time. Peter Whittingham gets a place in midfield after scoring twice in the win at Vicarage Road, while striker Michael Chopra is named upfront even though he wasn't on the scoresheet.
